Partnership Programs
A Collaboration, for Purposeful Growth
Uniting Fred’s long-standing experience in outdoor education with Luke Dyson’s accredited Rites of Passage mentor training (Level 1 with Dr Arne Rubinstein), this partnership delivers structured, transformative spaces for growth, connection, and self-discovery.
Program 1: Guiding Tomorrow’s Men (GTM)
Guiding Tomorrow’s Men is the core program developed through this partnership. It is a transformative experience designed to support boys (14–17) in stepping confidently toward young adulthood, guided by positive mentors, practical challenges, meaningful workshops, and a Rites of Passage structure.
Strategic Vision
“Our mission is to establish a transformative space dedicated to the healing, learning and personal growth of adolescent boys (14–17) and the adult male, mentors in their life. Through a structured and supportive community approach, we guide young youth through their transition into adulthood using a Rites of Passage framework and offer holistic support to adult men seeking the personal development they may have missed earlier in life. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where participants can uncover their true selves, recognise their strengths and weaknesses, and develop the skills needed to manage their bodies and minds. Supported by experienced mentors, and community leaders, our aim is to foster resilient, self-aware men who contribute positively to the world around them.”
The Core Inquiry: “What Is a Man?”
Every element of GTM returns to one central question: What does it truly mean to be a good man?
Through challenge, guided discussion, reflection, and connection with peers, boys explore this idea deeply and personally.

'4 the best of you'
'4 the Best of You: 4 Strategies for Self-Improvement' is the debut book from our youth mentor Fred Kirkpatrick, founder and director of Murray Life Adventures. Developed from nearly two decades of coaching experience, and a lifetime of learning resilience, this interactive book is designed to help young people understand who they are, why they react the way they do, and how to take meaningful steps toward becoming the best version of themselves.
“What you are is what you will stay unless you direct your focus where you want to go and how you want to grow.”
This belief sits at the heart of the book and basis first this partnership: growth begins with awareness, choice, and the willingness to take the next step.
